Are VAO and Group 4 syllabi the same? Does this plan work for Group 4 too?

Yes. VAO and Group 4 sit the same written exam — 300 marks, 200 questions, identical syllabus. Only the post differs. So this plan applies to Group 4 preparation as-is — there's also a dedicated Group 4 version of this page.

Is there negative marking in the VAO exam?

Yes. Each wrong answer costs 1/3 of a mark — with 300 marks, 200 questions and 3 hours on the clock, avoid guessing blindly.
